About The Route

A truly stunning route taking in some of the finest scenery that Sussex has to offer including one of the most well known climbs in Sussex, Steyning Bostal which is used in the Brighton Mitre CC hill climb. The route runs through the heart of Mid-Sussex until the challenging slopes of the Bostal rear up in front of you. Once over the top you are rewarded with spectacular views and a stunning ride back across the foot of the beautiful South Downs. 

Ditchling Common

  The ride starts near the ORRO bikes HQ in Ditchling Common

Hassocks and Hurst

The route passes through Ditchling, Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint, three beautiful villages situated at the foot of the downs.

Steyning Bostal

At the top of the steep slopes of Steyning Bostal you'll be rewarded with a stunning view over the South Downs.

The Foot of the Downs

The route then meanders along the foot of the downs.

Ditchling

The route then sweeps back up into the famous town of Ditchling before finishing back at the start on Ditchling Common.
