We draw on the advanced levels of skills available in Britain. Our country is renowned as a leader in composites technology, in industries such as aerospace and F1 – for example, our collaboration with the British carbon fibre producer Sigmatex using their Spread-Tow Carbon Fibre technology in the development of our all new Gold STC and STC Signature carbon fibre bike models.
At Orro, we are always searching to improve; to design beautifully engineered bicycles with the specific aim to be the best possible bike for each particular style of riding.
True to the spirit of the traditional art of frame-building, for which Britain has been famous, we develop our own unique Orro Shape Design – and all our carbon fibre bike and aluminium bike frames proudly carry our OSD mark as a sign of our quality.
Spread-Tow Carbon Fibre
Carbon Fibre revolutionised bike design, it opens up a huge amount of opportunities and has an exceptional strength to weight ratio. We have taken this another step forward by working with a leading global carbon specialist, we have developed the Orro exclusive STC carbon fibre to create a bike that performs at the highest levels. Lighter, stiffer, with more comfort than previously believed possible on a carbon fibre bike.
Advanced Carbon Technology
Our Proprietary blend of toray carbon fibre offers the perfect balance between comfort and stiffness.
Here at Orro we only use the highest quality carbon fibre. We use a proprietary blend of 24T and 60T Toray carbon fibre so that we can create frames that strike the perfect balance between comfort and stiffness.
The frame builder’s ultimate aim is to produce a frame that is both light and strong, Comfortable and efficient. By identifying stress and load areas within a bicycle we have selected the ideal carbon for each section of the frame. Stiffer carbon fibre is used in the Downtube and Bottom Bracket – areas that are central to a bikes handling and power transfer. More compliant carbon is used for the construction of the Seat tube and Seat stays – offering vibration reduction. The use of Toray carbon fibre produces a bike that is both compliant but fantastically stiff for any sprints and climbs that may come your way.
Orro Shape Design
True to the spirit of the traditional art of frame-building, for which Britain has been famous, at Orro we developed our own unique Orro Shape Designs – and all our carbon fibre and aluminium frames proudly carry our OSD mark as a sign of our quality.
Orro Shape Design is our unique way in which we shape and profile every tube on an Orro bike.
